Tulip Live-in care typically provide carers that offer companionship and housekeeping, help around the house, washing, cooking and peace of mind.. Housekeeping can be anything from washing up to cleaning, tidying and a full laundry service.
Above and beyond Companionship a live-in carer offers mobility assistance, security and piece of mind around the house. There is always someone there to help out and assist you.
Some of the conditions we provide live-in care for are:
- Dementia
- Alzheimer’s
- Parkinson’s
- Stroke
- Mobility assistance
Live-in care is also used for…
Clients who need help throughout the day and reassurance at night
Short-term residential care, which gives respite for the family
Breathing space when assessing Care Home options
Support on discharge from hospital
Cover during a permanent carer’s holiday
A live-in carer will require his / her own bedroom and while available for nearly all the day, it is usual for a live-in carer to have 2 hours time off in any period of 24 hours and will typically work between 5 and 7 days per week – the timing and details of which are agreed before the start of the assignment.
The cost of live-in care depends upon the type of care / companionship needed. In all cases, however, the client provides accommodation (a separate room) and food. This generally means that live-in carers will charge a lower daily or hourly rate than their non live-in counterparts.
Live-in care is an excellent, cost effective alternative to a residential care home or nursing home and enables you to retain control and independence.
If you have any questions on whether live-in care is right for you, please contact one of our Care Managers on 01483 323301.
Live-in care gives our clients the freedom to tailor their requirements to suit all conditions, and the carers the opportunity to apply their experience to care for those clients and give them the best quality of life.
